A2 Project

1)     Create a promotion package for the release of an album for an unsigned artist whic needs to include; a music promo video with the following:
- a cover for the release as a part of the digipak (CD/DVD Package)
-an advertisement for a magazine front cover of the digipack (CD/DVD Package)

Group Roles

I have grouped with another three girls; Estella Ossei, Warsan Barqadle and Ariba Ahmed. We have discussed which roles would suit us and we would be comfortable doing. So Estella has decided to be the Editor, Ariba became the Cinematographer and Warsan, the Producer. I put myself up for the role of the Director because it is what I aspire to be when I grow up. I want to get a feel of what it’s like before I take steps to this career path. I have looked up the definition of a film director and what their main responsibilities are.

A film director orchestrates the artistic and dramatic aspects of a film. A female director is sometimes called a directress. The role typically includes:

• Defining the overall artistic vision of the film.
• Controlling the content and flow of the film's plot.
• Directing the performances of actors, both mechanically by putting them in certain positions (i.e. blocking), and dramatically by eliciting the required range of emotions.
• Organizing and selecting the locations in which the film will be shot.
• Managing technical details such as the positioning of cameras, the use of lighting, and the timing and content of the film's soundtrack.
• Any other activity that defines or realizes the artistic vision the director has for the film.
