We have had many ideas on what we want out music video to look like. We have looked at many music videos and concentrated really well on American and British Hip Hop artists. We looked specifically at hip hop artists to see the range of styles they have and how our artist reflects it. This is our indicative videos:
1) “No Love” by Eminem and Lil Wayne video was a main indicative. I liked the editing style. At the start when the music is slow, the edits were longer, then when the rapping and soundtrack became more intense the edits would be quicker lasting only one second in some cases. I hope to have very past paced editing in my video because of the song gets faster and more intense.
2) “Brainwashed” by Devlin was another main indicative. We already came up with the idea of filming a camera that was pointed at the artist. In our video we have a different message and reason why we are filming our artist performing in front of another camera.
3) Defeat Me” by RKZ, was also another indicative because it gave us the idea to use the projection. I really liked the colour in this video and we tried to get the same effect. In this video, the shadows made the artist look really big and we are trying to get the same effects.
4) Immortal Technique- this is another hip hop artist, we already had the idea of our artist singing in a graffiti filled place and getting shots of these graffiti, but we saw this video and like how it was done.
