Video
Costume:We wanted to follow the codes and convention of the genre of the music our artist which is Hip Hop. So he was dressed in jeans, leather jackets and nice trainers.
The set: We have three main sets, the first is the graffiti because it represents freedom and the underground side to our artist. Our artist isn’t mainstream so we needed something to reflect that. The second was TV Studio which had a projector which means we could play our projection piece while he performed.
Props: There are no props in our video.
Lighting: We used natural lighting when we filmed outdoor. But for the projection we will use key lighting, the main lights will be switched of so key lighting is the only source.
Colour Scheme: We have different locations in our video. In some parts the colour scheme will be a bit more colourful e,g, graffiti and in some it will be dark like the projection.
Camera style: From our treatment we have a good idea of what angle to use. There will be many mid shot, mid close ups and close ups. We will use the rule of third to make sure the video looks good. I am hoping to use establishing shots, point of view shots.
Editing Style: This song is really intense, so the editing style will consist of fast edits. The tempo of song speeds up at certain points and I’m hoping to use the speed of the shots to emphasise this. The shots will last a few seconds and will move onto the next. I have like the editing style of “No Love” by Eminem and Lil Wayne and hopefully achieve similar looks in my video.
Special effects: Estella, who is the editor of the group might want to use special effects while she is editing in the future; so there might or might not be any special effects on our video.
CD cover
Costume: For the CD cover design, the artist can wear what he usually does because he has a good sense of clothes. But he will probably dress in jeans, black trainers and a jacket.
Set: The pictures will be taken in Liverpool Street. I’m going to have the artist posed near graffiti and use those pictures. I will also take pictures of graffiti and just photoshop the artist into it.
Props: There will be no props in CD cover.
Lighting: Because I will be taking these pictures outside I’m going to use natural lighting. I will take these pictures in the morning.
Colour Scheme: Some of the graffiti are colourful and some are dark, me and my group will take the pictures we want and use the appropriate colour scheme.
Camera Style: We will take many different angles, long shots, close ups and mid shots. This is so that we can have a varied selection, it’s just to be on the safe side so we won’t need to go out again and take more pictures.
Special FX: I’m going to use Indesign and Photoshop to create special effects in my CD cover.
